Current Life
Louise Parker is a DJ, presenter and broadcaster with a focus on storytelling, particularly audio documentaries, original features and podcasts.
Since joining the BBC, she has moved from training into making broadcast-ready content, including developing and delivering original BBC multi-part feature series rooted in place-led storytelling and community voices, such as Spooky Suffolk and The 12 Tastes of Christmas.
Louise is also the creator and host of 13 Reasons to Try, an independently produced podcast she built from the ground up. The show is one of the most shared podcasts in its category, with more shares than 95% of other shows, and is listened to internationally across the UK, US, Australia and France.
She’s currently developing new audio documentary ideas, with the ambition to create work that can live locally, travel nationally and stay with people long after they’ve finished listening.
Past Life
Louise spent more than a decade shaping a global career in the world of interiors, with experience spanning Miami to Melbourne. Between 2017 and 2024, she poured her heart into building an award-winning, six-figure design brand that captured the attention of leading design publications (and even a few celebrities) with features in ELLE Decoration, SheerLuxe, and British Vogue.
